THE POOL IS OPEN!

JUNIOR OLYMPIC SIZE POOL

MPHC’s renowned seventy-five foot pool and sundeck offer members an oasis nestled in the heart of midtown. The retractable glass atrium roof and lush tropical plants make you feel like you are on vacation. Try lounging poolside or on our outdoor sundeck.

Want lunch or a light snack? Place an order with one of our sundeck attendants and it will be brought right to your chair.

SWIM TEAM

If you’re looking for a more structured workout, try practicing with MPHC’s early morning swim team. Not only is it used for competitive training, but also as a fitness regime. We will develop a training routine designed to fit your lifestyle, experience and physical abilities. Suitable for swimmers of all levels, the only course requirement is the capability to swim four lap lengths (100 yds).

Swim Club Coach Jim Diapola is a successful high school, college and top ten master swimmer. He has coached in California and Connecticut and leading the MPHC swim team for over a decade. In addition, he also books one on one sessions with members to improve their swimming technique, strength and endurance in the four basic competitive strokes.

For further information or a free trial session, please contact Aquatics Director, Shawn Ross, (212) 563-7001 or sross@mphc.com.

As a combination of classroom, pool sessions and open water time, certification can be completed as quickly as one weekend or spread out over several weeks. The most modern scuba equipment is provided (complete regulator systems, buoyancy jackets, wetsuits, tanks & weights), while personal snorkeling equipment and textbook must be purchased by each student.
